#5 Clipboard:
When you copy a text by selecting it, we get options to copy, paste or google the text. Now with Android 13, the copied text can be customised. The phone will give you a preview with an option to tap on the text and edit the text in the clipboard. If you copy an image, it will automatically take you to Markup, so you can write on it or crop it or save it. The phone also recognises sensitive information stored in clipboard and deletes it after a certain period of time.
Google is also working on a universal copy and paste across Android phones and tablets.
#4 Security in General:
Android 13 has brought lot of security and privacy improvements.
If you give photo access to apps now, you can just choose few photos to give access to, instead of your entire library. This feature is already existing in iPhone for a little while.
Notifications are all opt-in, which means Apps have to ask you for permission from you first in order to send notifications to you. Previously, notifications are ON by default.
#3 Audio enhancement:
Android 13 will now natively support Spatial Audio, which you might already know that iPhone has this feature. Also, Bluetooth LE featured has been added for higher quality, low energy and lower latency audio.
#2 App-Specific Language Support:
If you are a bilingual, you speak more than one language, but may be you only use that second language in a certain app such as Whatsapp, Android will natively support that exact switch without having to work around it. Go to Settings -> System -> Languages & Input -> App languages -> Choose an app you want to convert the language. However, the App developers will have to opt in to do this, so not all Apps are available at the moment.
#1 Aesthetics:
Android is now down to tweaking lot of small things. For example in the customisation section, the theme picker for your wallpapers is much more precise with 16 different multi-colour and 16 single colour options instead of 4 we had before and there is a lot of granularity between them. Also, the notification for media player is now bigger and it changes colour based on the media that you are listening to. In addition to this, there is slightly new lock screen clock, slightly new unlocking animation and shortcut to get to settings is moved from the middle to the bottom of the quick settings, much more reachable.
All these little stuff adds up to quality of life improvements. Below is the video of MKBHD about Android 13 Hands-On: Top 5 Features! Comment below about what you think.
